Spring time colors...

Last year we planted a Japanese weeping cherry because of the shape of the tree and the blooms....

It looks like it made it through the winter...

Passed 18,000 views !!

Thanks to you all ! The Blog has just passed 18,000 views !! To say I'm amazed is an understatement but the number encourages me on. I will start posting more often since the weather is changing and business is picking up with the new year. Once again...THANKS !!!

Ghost trees revisited...

Branson again for some much needed rest and relaxation, of course with camera in hand. The river, White, I believe, runs behind our lodging and is fogged in most mornings this time of year. In fact the fog is so dense it seems as though we are in a jet passing through a cloud. I went out and had my morning coffee waiting for it to lift a bit and watch the transformation of the view.

The trees on the opposite bank are most probably cottonwood and photograph well in the foggy environment. Because there was a bunch of rain this last week the fog was at it's peak and the river was running fast. I Like the low light and contrasty image feel of the river.

Productive day......

I spent some time yesterday marketing one new account and revisiting an older one. I am in process of getting a date to make a presentation to the new account concerning services I can off them which should be fun. I will be presenting to them my image capabilities concerning their products. Because it has always been done in the past, they have photographed their products in house and have had some varied results to say the least. I am going to put together a PowerPoint presentation comparing my imagery to theirs on the same screen. It will blow them away. A picture speaks a thousand words and if they are insufficient-the sale suffers.

The other account has been revamping their location with major improvements which will necessitate some publicity shots as well as informative brochures showing the new changes.

Today I will touch base with another old account as they should be ready to have a machine part photographed that is part of a large overhaul of a drilling machine.

Love my job.....and it pays to keep in touch.

18,000 pages views in sight....

We're about to cross another threshold, 18,000 page views are around the corner. Thanks for your interest. More to follow in the next few days.

Alaska revisited...

I was reviewing my files this morning and found a couple of images I would like to share. It was a perfect day to shoot, slightly overcast and cool. I like water and indirect subdued light so I guess you could say I was in Hog Heaven. I really like these shots. I may add more tomorrow....I kinda feel like I'm on a roll...

A new assignment .........

I have picked up a new client and we are in process of creating a set of 5 images for for a group in Oklahoma City. As with all clients that are new we have to learn to speak each others creative language. The project is somewhat fluid as he is dealing with a project head and ideas are still bouncing around between the two of them. It's really pretty interesting as we started looking at architectural facets throughout the city originally and that concept is being balanced against another. Of course I have a collection of images that seemed to suit the bill but since then the idea has developed into another area of thought. I'm going to love this project because it will challenge my ability to keep reinventing the visual subject matter that will be used. I love my job....
